This is one of my favorite projects from the entire program. At the time, I didn’t know anything about Emergent Strategy, but this was a perfect precursor to it. This embodies the principles of emergent strategy, especially ‘small is good, small is all’, Never a failure, always a lesson, Less prep, more presence.

This was also the first time I’d been exposed to a How Might We…? question that we dug deeper into in Adel’s course. And the answer to any How Might We question can be ‘let’s experiment’.

I love the idea of I have used this idea of experimentation (which I realize not was not a new idea but sure felt like one when I was doing this!) with my team and it’s had an effect on the way we work together. I love this format so much that I’ve tried to fit it into other projects, but I really think this could be a book or a workbook or training series in my future. The cabbage lab has been renamed due to new people joining the group, but Cabbage Lab still has such a great ring to it.
