I wrote a book about AI, I guess about a year ago now. It’s already out of date. Like, really out of date.
I fell for one of those YouTube scams — ok, more than one, but we won’t go into that here — about how I could make millions and work from Thailand writing books for Amazon.
Spoiler: I did not make millions.
Also, the time difference in Thailand is… not ideal.
I didn’t follow the instructions. I was supposed to pick a topic that would sell even if it was super boring, hire a ghostwriter, keep it simple, and pester all my friends and acquaintances constantly to leave me reviews.
Instead, I wrote a real-ish book about something interesting and then basically didn’t talk about it.
But, In the process, I learned a shit ton about AI.
And about writing.
And about publishing.
And about myself.
I think I’ve made about $30 so far. In hindsight, that wasn’t really the point.
Anyway, in the year since I published it, AI has changed at an earth-shattering pace. So, I don’t really recommend buying the book right now. Honestly, you’re probably better off asking ChatGPT.
That said, if you do change your mind, I fixed both spelling errors on the covers. You can buy it here.
But really, everything I learned while writing that book lives all over this site now, in the experiments, the slightly annoying thinking-out-loud, and all the projects that have followed.
And hey, I wrote a book. That counts for something, right?
